Nereid

Nereid no dateNereid was built in 1975 for Peter Wilkinson, who was the owner of Wilkinson’s Timbers at Coorparoo. Peter lovingly maintained Nereid for 19 years. Her berthing at that time was in Raby Bay.

Nereid was then purchased in April, 1994 by John Miall. John is an ex commodore of the RQYS at Manly, Queensland and during his ownership, used her as the official boat for many of the RQYS events. For the past 20 years she was kept at the RQYS Marina at Manly, as well as John’s pontoon at Indooroopilly.

In 2014, Richard Kearns proudly purchased Nereid. He is very grateful to the only two owners before him who have kept her in such fine condition.

Both Richard and John admire Peter Bracken for his achievements and his ability to build great boats.
