Built in 1971, Falcon was one of a fleet of Police Boats commissioned. She served in the NSW Water Police until 2000 when she was retired. Almost 30 years of police work has ensured that Falcon holds a place in Australia’s maritime history.
Falcon returns to Votan after the storm
Falcon was famously involved in the dramatic rescue of survivors of the wrecked yacht Votan in 1974 whilst battling horrendous waves and weather conditions in Broken Bay. Each of the three policemen on board, Senior Constable Gordon (Boot) Wellings, Sergeant 3rd Class H. (Buster) Brown, Constable First Class Brian (Friendly) Friend were awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Brave Conduct. Read more about this rescue. Today, Falcon is a private vessel moored at Port Hacking. Very close to where she was built by Peter.

Powered by well maintained Cat 3208 engines at 210HP she has a 18 knot cruise. Port side engine was re-built in 2009 and has less than 25 hours. This boat can be used for fishing or cruising and she has well-proven rough water credentials.
The cockpit is large open and roomy, there is a good sized flybridge and cabin with twin berths.
